Sloppy Cheeseburgers

Yep, it's a recipe.  Or rather a stumbled upon concoction.  (It's something new we started to do this summer, and I thought I'd share.)

What you'll need:

1 lb of Ground Beef
6 Cheese Slices (something that melts, we used American)
Salt & Pepper
Hamburger Condiments
Buns

1.) Brown your ground beef in a pan.

2.) Drain off the excess fat with a strainer and return to pan.

3.) Add cheese slices and stir until melted in.  (You want this cheesy!)  Add the salt and pepper to taste afterwards.  (We use this sparingly in Sloppy Cheeseburgers.)

Cheese all mixed in and melted
4.) Serve up on buns/french rolls--adding whatever condiments you'd like!
This is our son's version-with ketchup and tomatoes of course!

5.) Eat and enjoy!
This is our adult version of a Sloppy Cheeseburger!

What's really nice this about this, is that you can make up a batch of this ahead of time and freeze it!  It's quick to reheat and make a nice meal out of.

We really like this, because Sloppy Cheeseburger Meat has different uses, like throwing it in macaroni & cheese, nachos, or on top of a homemade pizza, etc.

Hope you enjoy these and add these to you quick fix favorites!

  2. I make a sloppy cheeseburger too. I use the Campbell's Cheddar Cheese soup instead of cheese slices. Tastes so good.
